Price Guide

This is a rough guide to prices, for an exact quote please message me with details of the commission, the exact models to be painted, the level of time and effort to be put into them (see below) and whether they need basing, mold line removal and assembly. I would currently like to get paid £6.50 an hour, and based on that here are some estimates. Don't forget I can provide a 10% discount for a squad of 4 or more tabletop standard miniatures (they have to be a proper squad all to be painted in the same colour scheme).

                                                  Tabletop     Character

Squat/dwarf/goblin size                 £6.50         £13

Humanoid size                               £13            £26

Terminator/Troll size                     £20            £40

I currently have no recent experience painting anything bigger than this but I'm certainly willing to consider it. I have a few vehicles that I will be practicing on soon.

As you can see I've divided my painting level into two catagories

Tabletop Standard

Ideal for a large unit, tabletop standard is quicker and hence cheaper. I will prime, colour, shade, highlight and pick out detail. Here is an example of a tabletop level unit. I will give a discount for squads (4 or more models) as I can easily batch paint them.

Character Standard

This is my default level. For this you get all my artistic training focused on your miniature. I use every trick up my sleeve; non-metallic metal, directional lighting effects, freehand, interference colours, wet blending etc. Colours will be built up from many, many layers of paint, washes and inks will be fully utilized. I can paint squads like this but bear in mind it will be expensive and will take time. I may give a small bulk discount depending on the models. Here's a few miniatures that I feel represent my current level of skill.

Obviously final results will depend on your choice of miniatures as well as my painting skill. For best results pick something detailed and well sculpted. I do have a certain skill at bringing out the best in an old miniature however - check out these old, poorly sculpted 80s miniatures that I have rehabilitated:

Other Costs

I will charge a small fee for preparation of your miniatures, mold line removal, basing and assembly. This depends on the miniature but on average takes half an hour, so I will charge £3.25

Finally I will charge for postage back to you. I will only send miniature through tracked post, which is a little more expensive but worth it for peace of mind. Postage includes a strong plastic box, bubble wrap, tissue paper and jiffy bag. I will spend a little time making sure they have a safe journey. Occasionally parts will come loose during postage so I wrap everything closely in tissue to prevent damage to the paintjob. If you can give me a weight for your miniatures I can give a precise quote, otherwise I will estimate. If you live outside the UK bear in mind the cost of postage and the time it may take.

Payment Methods

Probably the most simple method of payment is paypal. I will require half the payment upfront and the other half on completion. I will also accept personal cheques from customers in the UK, but bear in mind I will want all the payment upfront and will wait for the cheque to clear before posting the completed commission. Please see my terms and conditions for detail.

I plan on accepting payment in Bitcoin. If you want to pay in Bitcoin let me know and I will set up a wallet.
